AN UPDATE ON OUR NEW BUSINESS

This week: An update on our new business

Well, my friends, our new company is now 3 months old. We have covered a lot of ground in this time, but we still have a long way to go. Remember, our company is offering a new type of service in the industry we serve. We've had to devote lots of time and money to education and marketing. We've made our proof of concept period 6 months long. That means December 1 will be the time to decide if we've tapped a demand for our services. It also will be a partial report card on whether weíve done an effective job in our start up. Sales, when all is said and done, is the market telling you that you've got a needed product or service.

Our metrics for analyzing our progress are essentially three. First is sales. Have we generated sales and likely prospects? Second is market presence. Have we created a presence to explain the value of our service? Third is industry future. Is there a future in our industry that suggests it can support new companies with new services? This week we'll look at all of these metrics to see where we stand.

Tomorrow: What is our sales picture? Visit amazon.com or area book stores for a copy of Business Success Secrets and use it as a guide in building your company.
