If you're an entrepreneur, you've got one eye on today and the other on tomorrow. Entrepreneurs are doers and dreamers. They start with a vision of the future and then dig into things today and tomorrow to bring it about. But very little can happen without some planning. Thatís our topic for this week on Daily Essentials for Business Success.
There are three things every entrepreneur must be able to do in order to succeed. One is to have a vision. The second is to be able to inspire others with that vision. And the third is be able to translate that vision into a working plan in order to get from here to there. There are lots of obstacles along the way–many placed there by the entrepreneur. Other obstacles may have to do with timing, markets, or uncontrollable factors. Whatever the obstacles, it's well established that half of all new business start ups will not be around in 5 years. So if you want to succeed as an entrepreneur in a new business, you've got to have your feet on the ground.
